Heather holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and is a board certified clinical nurse specialist certified in adult gerontology. With well over a decade of nursing experience, her expertise spans from critical care to home care. Heather has been providing expert patient care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital since 2012, and has filled a variety of roles during her tenure including clinical nurse administrator, which involved managing all hospital clinical services including the emergency room and intensive care units. For more than five years, Heather has served as a clinical nurse instructor and continues to provide hands-on education for nursing students at both Boston College and Northeastern University. She is a 2018 recipient of The DAISY Award, which recognizes nurses for the extraordinary skillful, compassionate care they provide for patients and families. Heather exemplifies nursing excellence and possesses a keen attention to detail; this enables her to educate healthcare providers on the latest evidence-based practices, which is imperative in delivering optimal patient care. Heather is passionate about promoting nursing education as well as initiating changes that will improve patient outcomes. Her wealth of knowledge stemming from educational, clinical, and managerial experience provides the expertise that nursing facilities can utilize to improve nursing practice and distinguish themselves as a leading care provider.
